Transport firm Delsol motors into Wirral
Rapidly expanding transport firm Delsol is strengthening its North West presence after securing a new deal to provide delivery and collection services on the Wirral.
The Caernarfon and Deeside firm run by co-directors Tony Parry and Simon Walker has signed a partnership to cover Wirral CH postcodes on behalf of United Pallet Network (UPN).
It follows a period of major expansion for the Wales Fast Growth 50 firm with turnover climbing to an all-time high at circa £6m, up 11pc on 2011. In 2012 it further posted record numbers of deliveries and drove staff numbers to more than 80 its highest ever number.
Mr Parry said the firm continues to drive momentum following a recent £350,000 cash injection on new vehicles taking the fleet including sprinters, HGVs and bikes to more than 60.
He said the new Wirral service will be “simple and effective” providing collection and delivery of palletised goods for distribution across the UK.
It will add to Delsol’s coverage of the entire North Wales LL and CH postcodes including Chester and Wrexham, for its overnight network partners offering services throughout Europe.

Mr Parry said the new service will see Delsol drivers transporting deliveries to a central hub where every pallet is checked and scanned. Freight is then transported to local delivery depots where it is unloaded and sorted into delivery areas where requests for time specific deliveries are serviced.
Pallets are delivered by a total of 4,000 local delivery and collection vehicles, working within UPN. Mr Parry said drivers use the latest XDA systems to capture digital proof of deliveries which are posted online.
