Merseyside based maritime specialist PR firm Polaris Media has been appointed by Liverpool headquartered marine decking manufacturer Durastic.
Polaris Director Ben Pinnington said the company is delighted grow its maritime customer based with £6m turnover Durastic, which also has offices in Southampton and Jarrow. Ben said the prime role of the campaign will be to grow Durastic’s profile and win it business.
“Durastic is a very well established manufacturer operating across the UK and the world with roots dating back 90 years,” he said. “However, it feels it needs to sell itself better and expand awareness of its formidable track record, highlighting the benefits of its products. PR is a very effective weapon for achieving this. With our journalistic training, and experience of maritime, we have the expertise to ramp up Durastic’s profile. The campaign will aim to catapult the Durastic brand into the international maritime and off shore media and regional business press read by its customers.”
Mr Pinnington said the campaign for Durastic has already seen the company generate substantial coverage across media.
“Durastic like many engineering and maritime companies is sitting on dormant news potential,” said Ben. “It has a great story to tell but needs expert guidance to promote that story in the media. Durastic is in a strong position because the media wants to hear about successful manufacturers who are supplying exciting projects, growing their exports and generating employment. “
