BenPinningtonandSamPinningtonPolaris will be attending the world’s biggest maritime industry trade fair, SMM in Hamburg Germany, in September to support a number of clients.

Polaris is a maritime specialist PR firm run by brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington. A number of its clients are attending and exhibiting at the fair including Oman Drydock Company, Cammell Laird, International Safety Products, Roxtec and SeaKing Electrical. More than 50,000 visitors from 60 countries are expected at the show which has 2000 exhibitors across five halls.

Polaris director Ben Pinnington said the company will be promoting its clients hard to media and contacts at the fair.

“SMM provides a tremendous platform to network,” he said. “We will be looking for opportunities for all our clients including those who can’t attend the show.”

Ben said Polaris will be holding a series of meetings with international companies who are interested in Polaris’ English language marketing package.

“Writing in English can be a pain if it is not your first language,” he said. “However, it is an essential skill in the maritime industry which communicates in English. This is the pain we cure for clients. We are trained and qualified journalists and we specialise in maritime. Few companies can match this USP which has been developed over years of work in the media and the maritime sector. This enables us to maximise media coverage for our clients from the UK and overseas in the maritime press which numbers more than 500 titles mostly written in English.”
