Polaris supports Cammell Laird’s Leander Frigate warship campaign

Polaris is providing a range of PR services to support long standing shipbuilding client Cammell Laird’s campaign to promote its new Leander Frigate warship.

The Leander Frigate designed by BAE Systems is generating huge interest from overseas navies considering buying the ship. Polaris is working with Cammell Laird to promote the cutting edge ship in international, national and maritime trade press. Polaris is further supplying support designing and writing marketing literature and running social media campaigns.

In August Polaris helped promote a range of news stories promoting the progress of Cammell Laird’s campaign to build the Leander and five Type 31e versions of the warships for the UK Royal Navy worth £1.25billion. Polaris will further be providing PR and social media support to Cammell Laird as it promotes its naval shipbuilding capability on the world stage during the SMM trade fair in Germany in September and Euronaval 2018, the biggest naval exhibition and conference of the year, due to take place in Paris between October 23 and 26.

The company run by NCTJ qualified newspaper journalist brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington was founded in the port city region of Liverpool and has grown an international client base including Roxtec, Atlantic Container Line, Oman Shipping, the Port of Portland (UK), Naval Rocha, SeaKing Electrical, Intermarine UK, Baltec Marine and Romica Engineering. Polaris further sits on the British Marine Equipment Committee of the Society of Maritime Industries in London. The SMI is a trade body acting as the voice of the maritime engineering industry in the UK.
