We’re pleased to spotlight a standout event from the Chicago Propeller Club (CPC), which Polaris is proud to support through our ongoing involvement in the Great Lakes maritime community. On May 22, the CPC will host a Maritime Day Networking Cruise, presented in partnership with City Cruises. The event will begin with a Blessing of the Fleet ceremony at Navy Pier, followed by a two-hour cruise aboard the Chicago Elite — complete with networking, lunch, and sweeping views of the Chicago skyline.
This is a popular fixture on the CPC calendar and promises an excellent opportunity for industry professionals to connect in a relaxed setting. Ben Pinnington, Polaris founder and Vice President of the CPC, will be in attendance and looks forward to meeting fellow members of the maritime community.
The day begins at 11:00am with the shoreside blessing ceremony, followed by the cruise at 12:00pm. The event concludes at 2:00pm, with the option to continue conversations at nearby venues afterward.
Tickets are $80 for CPC members, $100 for non-members, or you can become a member for $150 and enjoy discounted pricing for this and future events.

For businesses seeking increased visibility, event sponsorships are also available from $500 to $1,000.
Looking ahead, the CPC has also announced two more key events this year:
August 13 – Reception with American Great Lakes Port Directors
October 8 – City cruise with Wendella
Polaris continues to champion the work of the Chicago Propeller Club in promoting collaboration, supporting seafarers, and driving growth in the Great Lakes maritime sector.
