Polaris is releasing the latest dates on this year’s Making Waves book tour promoting PR skills in the maritime sector.
Polaris MD Ben Pinnington will be joined by members of Polaris team at major maritime events in the United States and Europe. Polaris will be attending CMA in Connecticut in March, Ports of the Future in Texas in April before moving to Nashville for the Inland Marine Expo in May, Nor Shipping in Oslo in June and the International Propeller Club Annual Conference in Charleston South Carolina in September. Ben will be signing books and speaking at some of the events.
“We are looking forward to meeting friends and new contacts out on the road discussing our mutual passion for maritime, and the role PR can play in raising awareness,” said Ben. “With better communications maritime can attract more of the best minds and finance into the sector as well as champion the industry in the corridors of power and mainstream media. Greater awareness can help businesses to grow and at the same time encourage more support for ship building, engineering skills, seafarers and help tackle seablindness.”
Ben said Polaris will further be promoting membership of the newly reformed Chicago chapter of the International Propeller Club at the events.
Making Waves, meanwhile, was given the Silver Award at the recent Chartered Institute of Public Relations North West of England awards. The book is available to buy online in paperback, Kindle and audio book format at all good book sellers including Amazon, Audible, Barnes & Noble and Waterstones.
