Merseyside public relations firm Polaris Media Management has signed a new deal to promote one of the world’s largest manufacturers of inflatable lifejackets.
The firm has secured a contract with £7m turnover Bootle based International Safety Products (ISP). ISP employs more than 100 people and manufactures marine survival equipment including specialist vests, waistcoats, floatation suits and inflatable liferafts. ISP is backed by Merseyside Special Investment Fund (MSIF).
Polaris director Ben Pinnington said the campaign is already underway with Polaris joining ISP at its stand at the METs trade show in Amsterdam – one of the biggest leisure marine trade fairs in the world. Here Polaris helped stage a champagne reception and press call for ISP attracting journalists from across Europe to report on its products.
“This is a terrific contract to win,” he said. “ISP is a tremendous company with bright ambitions and brilliant products. It also has a very strong pipeline of news from around the world which we cannot wait to get cracking on. Polaris specialises in providing PR to marine firms and manufacturers so we really feel we have the skills and expertise to deliver a high profile campaign for ISP. We will be targeting all relevant media including national and international marine trade media. We will also be looking to ramp up the profile in Merseyside and the North West.”
ISP Sales Director Geoff Billington said the firm is looking to promote itself better in the media and raise its profile with key audiences.
“We were recommended to use Polaris Media through the work the firm has carried out for another manufacturer. It is crucial to ISP’s growth that we effectively communicate our core products and services to boost our profile, reputation and sales. We are particularly keen to do this in both the regional and marine trade media. ”
