Leading North West PR firm, Polaris Media Management has been appointed by one of the region’s most high profile new schools Oasis Academy Oldham.
Polaris Media director Ben Pinnington said the firm is delighted to grow its education division further with Oasis Oldham which is due to move into its new £35m premises in September. Oasis Oldham first opened in 2010 following the merger of South Chadderton and Kaskenmoor schools.
School principal David Hayes said the school wants to raise the profile of its achievements, facilities and vision.
“This is a huge moment in the Academy’s short existence,” he said. “The new premises are magnificent and we want to use these facilities to bring the very best out of our pupils. We will be working with Polaris to raise awareness of who we are and what we can offer parents, pupils and the wider community.”
Mr Pinnington said that the academy has so much positive news to promote.
“The academy has many facilities from sport to conferencing to ICT which are available to the community as well as pupils,” he said. “There is a job to be done to inform local people about the school and its role in the community. Media coverage is a highly effective way for Oasis Oldham to explain its key services and specialisms. Pupils at the academy are already accomplishing great things and just last week 14 year old wrestler, Daniel Panczyszyn, carried the Olympic Torch. We look forward to communicating the academy’s successes in the months ahead.”
Mr Pinnington said the education sector is a key growth area for Polaris.
“We now have a strong portfolio of education clients and have built up extensive experience and expertise in knowing how to promote and protect a school or college,” he said. “We have also found the education sector to be an inspiring industry to work in. Our media campaigns aim to capture the enthusiasm, vitality and ‘can do’ attitude of the institutions we feel privileged to work with. ”
