Polaris is launching a new international media service for dynamic exporters looking to grow their sales overseas.
Polaris director Sam Pinnington said Polaris already promotes a number of exporters including Wirral manufacturers Dantec and ANH Refractories, Bury based safety seal manufacturer Roxtec, electrical engineering contractor SeaKing and Warrington IT firm Certero.
“A number of our clients want to raise their profile in media outside the UK,” he said. “So we have been working closely with them developing contacts in the Middle East, America, Australia and the Asia Pacific Region. Our client Certero has just opened an office is Sydney Australia and our client Dantec now sells 70pc of its product overseas. ANH Refractories meanwhile is heavily active in the Middle East and Europe.
“We are confident we can use these contacts to help other exporters raise their profile and win business through the foreign media. We are keen to speak to exporters interested in our services.”
Mr Pinnington said Polaris is further helping firms trading overseas with internet coverage.
“The days of today’s news becoming tomorrow’s fish and chip paper are changing fundamentally,” he said. “The beauty of media coverage now is that so much of it is retained permanently online. This is very helpful overseas as securing permanent coverage on Middle East business websites, for example, keeps our clients in the public eye and in the search engines of important growth regions.”
Mr Pinnington said Polaris is also working with exporters looking at how social media and enewsletters can be used as a low cost way of promoting clients to large numbers of contacts and clients overseas.
“Social media like Linked In is very effective for communicating with large numbers of contacts spread across the world on a regular basis at no cost,” he said. “Harnessing the power of social media to stay on the radar of contacts is an increasingly valuable role for PR.”
