Engineering specialist PR firm Polaris Media is delighted to announce it has been appointed to ramp up the profile of one of the motor industry’s most innovative, and fastest growing, engine products, Cataclean®.

Liverpool based company Cataclean Global Ltd. is the inventor and manufacturer of Cataclean a patented catalytic converter cleaning product (see notes to editors).

Polaris Director Ben Pinnington said the company is ‘absolutely delighted’ to be working with Cataclean which saw UK retail sales surge from £1.1m in 2012 to £1.7m in 2013.

“Cataclean® is a fantastic product and has a highly impressive entrepreneurial team driving its growth both in the UK and overseas,” he said. “This is exactly the kind of company we want to work with which is suited to our background, as entrepreneurs ourselves, and as engineering specialists.

“Cataclean® is really going places right now signing exciting deals with Halfords and also with overseas distributors including a large new Franchise in North America. Our job is to generate a consistently high profile for Cataclean® so it becomes even better known among motorists and the motoring media. Critically we must communicate the benefits of Cataclean® which are so powerful. We have tried Cataclean ourselves and have seen how it can cut emissions and fuel bills and improve performance. This really is a great product.”

Ben said Polaris would be providing a range of services to Cataclean Global Ltd. including publicity campaigns in national, international, regional and trade media. Polaris will also be helping promote an imminent rebrand of the product as well as creating social media and e-newsletter campaigns.

“The beauty of the publicity campaign is that a lot of the coverage will be retained online,” he said. “This will massively improve Cataclean’s search engine rankings as news media sites are some of the best optimised in the world. Cataclean Global Ltd. will also benefit from Polaris’ new deal with media database Cision which gives us access to extensive media lists in the UK and across the world.”

Cataclean Global Ltd, Corporate Development Director, Graham Fraser said the publicity campaign would play a key role in supporting the company’s ambitious growth targets.

“Having a high media profile is essential for a product like Cataclean®,” he said. “We will be working with Polaris to promote brand development in 2014 and communicate effectively our positive news both in the UK and abroad.

“We want motorists to know that for a small investment, of around £17 every three months, a bottle of Cataclean® can help prevent cars failing their MOT emissions test. This is a costly and entirely preventable situation hitting millions of drivers every year. Both petrol and diesel cars can fail emissions tests, particularly cars over five years old.

“In addition we want to communicate how Cataclean® can prevent problems with Diesel Particulate Filters (DPFs). This is becoming a big issue even for newer diesel cars particularly those doing limited mileage around town and in a stop-start environment and can be very expensive to fix. However, by using Cataclean®, as a preventative measure, drivers can save money and hassle.”

Notes to editors

Cataclean comes in a 475ml bottle designed to be poured directly into a fuel tank. It has a number of benefits for petrol and diesel vehicles: it can reduce emissions by up to 60pc and remove carbon build-up from oxygen sensors helping prevent vehicles failing MOT tests. It can help reduce fuel bills by improving mile per gallon (MPG) consumption by 5 to 10 per cent. It achieves this by increasing the torque, and the performance of the engine, which in turn enhances the driving experience.

Cataclean is safe to use in all Diesel, Petrol and Hybrid vehicles. It can be bought at all good motor factors including Euro Car Parts, Culmac (in North West region) GSF, Jim Barrow (in North West region), CES (UK) Ltd, Andrew Page as well as Halfords stores and Halfords autocentres.
