The media firm run by entrepreneur brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington visited the $1.5bn shipyard to promote the landmark drydocking of the Maersk Wisconsin by producing press materials and photography for the international maritime press and Middle East media.ODC is based in the region’s new mega city of Duqm, on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula.

The location is being transformed through a formidably ambitious 10 year $15billion masterplan, to create an economic powerhouse with thriving shipping, petrochemical, logistics and offshore industries.

Polaris Director Ben Pinnington said ODC is  harnessing the power of the media to raise its profile and grow understanding of its skills and facilities, which are among the very best in the world.

“It is a privilege to be working with ODC and see this magnificent shipyard with our own eyes,” said Mr Pinnington. “We have been able to generate extensive positive publicity across international maritime press and the Middle East media. This coverage benefits ODC by helping increase awareness of its achievements.
“We know we have a great product, namely being trained and qualified English journalists who can write to a professional standard of English. Armed with our experience of promoting maritime companies for years, this skill set is in demand in both the UK and overseas. This is a valueable skill set as the majority of the international maritime media is written in English. We can further offer companies knowledge of media management: how to make the news, how journalists think, how to communicate with power and how to handle a crisis.”
