Polaris visited the fast emerging city of Krakow this week presenting to Polish exporters wanting to secure international media coverage.
Polaris Media is based in Liverpool City Region and Manchester in the UK and is run by journalist brothers Ben and Sam Pinnington. The company has close ties with Poland and employs Polish interns in the UK to help with translations.
Ben said Polaris had a series of meetings in Krakow Chamber of Commerce meeting potential business contacts.
“The international business media is written in English and presents massive opportunities for Polish exporters,” he said. “This is particularly the case for engineering, manufacturing, tourism and construction firms wanting to promote themselves to international markets. Our experience however is that foreign companies can struggle to write news releases and marketing literature to a professional standard of English journalism. We are trained journalists and can write to a professional standard of English. Specifically we are trained to write in English journalese the language of the media. As journalists, turned PR professionals, we further know what makes news and how to generate a consistent high profile news coverage for any business wanting to promote itself in the international trade media. Moreover, with so much of the international trade media produced in the UK we have many contacts with journalists which we can use to help Polish companies.”
Ben said Polaris’ Polish staff can help with translations and communications with Polish clients.
“We have enormous respect and admiration for Poland and the tenacity of its fast growing private sector,” he said. “We very much want to work with Polish companies and make them feel comfortable by having Polish staff to deal with to help with communication and cultural understanding. We can also help with writing copy for marketing literature, corporate videos and trade fairs.”
In addition to Polaris British clients the company also works with clients from Sweden, the United States, France and Germany.
