Liverpool based social enterprise Fusion21 is announcing the acquisition of Atom Regeneration Limited.
National social enterprise Fusion21 works to promote public procurement to deliver efficiency savings whilst creating social outcomes in local communities.
Chief Executive Dave Neilson said the “strategic acquisition” would help broaden knowledge and skills within Fusion21 which is rapidly emerging as a national leader in its sector.
Atom Regeneration Limited, led by James Flannery, provides highly specialist employment and skills advice services for public sector organisations and contractors working within major construction projects.
Fusion21 was advised by Brian McCann and Adam McGowan from MC Vanguard, the Liverpool based Corporate Finance arm of Mitchell Charlesworth. Kieran Donovan from Bermans solicitors provided legal advice.
Mr Neilson said: “We are delighted to complete this acquisition and welcome James to the group. His knowledge, skills and contacts will greatly assist us to accelerate the growth of our advisory services and create further opportunities for local people. As the economy begins to recover and construction opportunities increase, Fusion21 is ideally placed for substantial future growth.”
Mr Flannery has more than 25 years experience of working in the construction and regeneration sector for both private and public sector organisations.
Over the past six years he has been Managing Director of Atom Regeneration Ltd and Atom Community Regeneration Ltd delivering services aimed at improving the Liverpool City Regions’ development, regeneration, skills and employment agenda.
Mr Flannery is a member of the Merseyside Employer Coalition Board, a Member of the Chartered Institute of Building and a committee member of the Liverpool Construction Best Practice club.
