Promar Shipping Services in Barcelona.
Polaris directors Ben and Sam Pinnington travelled to Spain to promote the event as the ship, the Promar Mamola Reliance, was blessed then officially named in a ceremony next to Barcelona World Trade Centre. The event was attended by staff and dignitaries from family-owned, Geneva headquartered Promar.
Polaris director Sam Pinnington said the company was brought in to promote the event to the English language global maritime and oil and gas press, and media around Promar’s offices in Switzerland, the Middle East and West Africa.

Sam said the deal is the latest overseas job for Polaris, after it also promoted the completion of a multi-million pound conversion of Greek owned oil tanker the Olympic Luck, for the Gulf’s biggest shipyard Oman Drydock Company in January.
“Polaris is one of the few specialist maritime PR firms in the world,” he said. “We have spent the last eight years working with a wide range of maritime businesses building experience, knowledge and expertise. This enables us to offer a world-class service to major international operators like Promar. The essential problem we solve is helping companies raise awareness to a mass maritime audience worldwide. This can be very difficult and expensive to achieve. However, Polaris offers a low-cost, high impact solution by issuing press releases to the 500 or so maritime magazines worldwide. The publicity generated then catapults our clients to a huge audience of around 200,000 maritime professionals online and in-print. For foreign firms, we can also solve the difficulty of writing press releases in English, to a professional journalistic standard. This is a very valuable service as all the main international maritime magazines, daily e-newsletters, news websites and Twitter accounts are written in English.”
