Polaris extends pro bono deal with Liverpool Seafarers Centre for seventh year

Polaris will be fighting to raise awareness of seafarers after renewing its deal to provide pro bono PR services to the ecumenical charity Liverpool Seafarers Centre for the seventh year.

Liverpool Seafarers Centre winning the Diversity Award at the Mersey Maritime Industry Awards in November at Liverpool’s Anglican Cathedral. LSC was recognised for its work supporting seafarers of many nationalities.

 

Polaris MD Ben Pinnington said:

“I am delighted to extend our agreement with Liverpool Seafarers Centre,” he said. “All the Polaris team feel very passionate about supporting seafarers who undertake one of the most dangerous, isolated jobs on the earth away from home and loved ones. Most are from developing countries and are making huge personal sacrifices to support their families. We will be supporting LSC raise awareness in regional, maritime and religious media building on the success of last year which saw LSC win the diversity award at the Mersey Maritime Awards. We will further be raising awareness on social media including LSC’s popular Twitter account @Liv_seafarers and to expand reach we will be launching new accounts on Instagram and LinkedIn.”

Liverpool Seafarers Centre provides practical and emotional support to more than 50,000 seafarers each year passing through Merseyside ports each year.

Polaris helped LSC to rebrand in 2020
