Polaris is passionate about boat building, and the ability of boat yards as primary contractors to drive positive change.

We proud to work with disruptive boat builder Ultimate Boats in Glasgow. Founded by Isle of Man based technology start up ExoTechnologies Ultimate Boats has invested 7million GBP in developing the first fully recyclable workboat made of its own patented composite boat building material Danu.

Objective

Raise awareness of company brand as new disruptor in British boatbuilding.

Improve understanding of sustainable benefits of Danu boat building material as a replacement for fibre glass. Danu is a circular material meaning it can be recycled multiple times unlike fibre glass, the prime boat building material which is notoriously difficult to recycle. Danu is a ready made solution which can prevent thousands of unwanted boats being scuttled or dumped in landfill.

Support launch of first ever recyclable boat which UBC built for Police Scotland.

Showcase UBC’s desire to explore new areas of innovation including in autonomous and hydrogen powered vessels.
